MPC reflects on a year of transformation—for the region and ourselves.

Chicago is a region that's constantly reinventing itself. From the Great Fire of 1871 to the Cubs curse, we have a knack for bouncing back stronger from the challenges that hobble us.

We're at a time when the region faces a lot of challenges. Fiscal crises, political tensions, poverty and segregation. And pretty soon some communities will have to start worrying about having enough clean water.

But there are also a lot of opportunities. And MPC is working every day to ensure that in 20, 30, 50 years, you and your children will live in an equitable, vibrant region bustling with life and economic vitality.

On her 20th anniversary at MPC, President MarySue Barrett reflects on the changes that have happened during her time at the helm.

In a city that's faced its share of crippling challenges, we here at MPC are confident that the Chicagoland of tomorrow is bigger, better, brighter and happier than ever.
