Visiting MPC’s office
In 2009, the Metropolitan Planning Council moved to a LEED-Gold-certified office space in Chicago’s historic Marquette Building, overlooking Federal Plaza. In addition to the office’s green elements—energy-efficient and natural lighting, Energy Star equipment, and recycled, reclaimed and low-VOC construction materials, to name a few—the building is conveniently located near a variety of public transportation options. Riding the CTA? The Monroe Blue Line station is literally at our front door. You’ll find Red, Green, Purple, Orange, Pink, and Brown line stations within four blocks. Coming from outside Chicago? Chicago’s Union Station is an easy 10-minute walk away, as is Millennium Station, the terminus for several Metra lines and the South Shore line.
Plan your transit route with Google Maps or the RTA Trip Planner.
The only mode of transportation that’s difficult to use to get to MPC? A car. As part of our commitment to encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation, MPC does not provide parking for employees or guests.
