The series explored how – in an ever-expanding world economy – comprehensive metropolitan plans are essential to keeping our communities competitive. At this roundtable, the final in the series, panelists discussed:

  • Implementation of the Youngstown 2010 Plan in Youngstown, Ohio, and how regional institutions can support local plans
  • Important initiatives already underway in the region and how the GO TO 2040 plan will help to advance them, such as technical assistance to communities and interjurisdictional collaborations, energy efficiency and green retrofits, and local entrepreneurship and community development.
