Elgin's Beet Juice Anti-Icing Solution

A unique blend of natural products has the City of Elgin, Ill., at the forefront of snow and ice clearing. In this video, Elgin public works employees explain how they blend their beat juice cocktail -- a sustainable and cost-effective product that limits the amount of calcium chloride necessary to melt snow and ice throughout the winter.
