2004 Annual Meeting Luncheon update

MPC is working to reschedule its Annual Meeting Luncheon, which had been scheduled for July 15. New details will be announced as soon as they are set.

The Metropolitan Planning Council has a long history of delivering a blockbuster program each year at its Annual Meeting Luncheon. Our 2004 forum was to be no exception – a thought-provoking and informative forum featuring the nominees for U.S. Senate, Barack Obama, the Democrat, and Jack Ryan, the Republican. At this time, with no new Republican nominee identified, and the Illinois General Assembly very likely to be in session in Springfield, we could not deliver the kind of event you expect from us. We have decided to postpone our Annual Meeting, which had been scheduled for next Thursday, July 15.

We will reschedule the event, as a joint candidate forum on regional issues, for a date in early August or just after Labor Day. We will notify you as soon as a new date is set, and hope you will join us at that time.

If you have questions, please contact Ann Armstrong, MPC development director, at 312-863-6010 or aarmstrong@metropla nning.org . You may also contact our event consultant, PJH & Associates, at 312-553-2000.

Thank for your continued support of MPC.
