Chicago's Proposed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Routes

Chicago received $153 million grant from the federal government to begin the first phase of a 100-mile network of bus rapid transit.

Routes along Chicago Avenue, Halsted, 79th Street and Jeffery Boulevard will demonstrate the benefits of a new bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor to help alleviate congestion.  See the proposed BRT routes here.
