Returning, new members represent MPC’s extensive network of business, civic partners

notable year of work to expand affordable housing and transportation options, as
well as ensure quality education and healthy, economically vibrant
communities

the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) Board of Governors rounded out 2005 with
the election of its 2006 officers.
“In
1934, a small, dedicated group of action-oriented citizens, intent on making
Chicago a better place, founded what is today the Metropolitan Planning
Council,” said
MarySue Barrett
, MPC
president. “The Council is now one of the region’s most effective sensible
growth advocates, galvanized in no small part by our board members, who share
the spirit of our founders and have the expertise and courage necessary to
address our region’s most challenging issues.”
The elected officers
are:

officers, MPC welcomed the newly
elected members of its Board of Governors and appointed members of its Resource
