Hugo Coronado

Hugo joined MPC in June 2022; previously, he was an intern for the transportation team a year ago. Now he joined as an Associate for the Transportation and the Water team. Originally from Colombia, he got his college degree in political science; afterward, he worked as a consultant in public policy for local companies and international organizations in public policy analysis in different regions in Colombia.

Hugo moved to Chicago in 2018 to pursue his master’s degree in Sustainable Urban Development and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems - GIS. He is a formed Chaddick Scholar at DePaul, where he supported some of the research from the institute and participated in their events. He graduated in 2021 and joined the Shared-Used Mobility center, where he helped research transportation and shared mobility.

Hugo enjoys outdoor activities; he loves to go for long runs along the lakefront and enjoy the street festivals during the summer.
