Voice your support for adding coach houses to Chicago's zoning ordinance

Coach houses, a common building type in many of Chicago’s historic neighborhoods, can increase the supply of rental housing, provide extra income for homeowners and allow Chicago residents to age in place.

Urge the City of Chicago to consider allowing coach houses in the revised zoning code by sending the letter below, or a letter of your own, to city officials or your alderman.

Coach houses, a common building type in many of Chicago’s historic neighborhoods, can increase Chicago’s supply of rental housing, provide extra income for homeowners, and allow Chicago residents to age in place.
