Winning Workplaces and American Planning Association extol employer-assisted housing

MPC's EAH model is spotlighted by two organizations advancing best practices among their constituents.

Winning Workplaces, a nonprofit organization that promotes quality workplaces by providing information, training, ideas, consulting, and easy-to-use, affordable tools for small and midsize organizations, is currently spotlighting employer-assisted housing on its Web site, with an feature article and online toolkit . According to Winning Workplaces Chair Kenneth Lehman, former co-chair of Fel-Pro, "We're appealing to the leaders of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations on the basis of enlightened self-interest, not on the basis of a moral or ethical imperative. The data proves that great workplaces outperform average ones."

The American Planning Association July PAS Report also features EAH and MPC's related work and partnerships. The Planning Advisory Service publishes reports covering the planning field's most current issues and most innovative practices. As EAH has proven to be an effective strategy for municipalites looking to advance workforce housing solutions in partnership with private sector leaders, municipal and county planners are encouraged to tap this APA resource.
