The average American spends 50 minutes a day traveling to and from work—and most of us would like our commutes to be shorter, cheaper and less stressful. Several Chicago employers are helping ease this daily burden for employees while bolstering their corporate sustainability goals.
- Labelmaster, located on Chicago’s northwest side, has implemented new Commute Options, including a bicycling incentive and emergency ride home, and continues to offer an Employer-Assisted Housing benefit for qualified employees who purchase a home.
- Loyola University Chicago offers downpayment assistance and access to counseling to help employees buy homes close to campus or within ½-mile of the Chicago Transit Authority's Red El line.
- BMO Harris Bank provides $2,500 to help employees buy homes, supporting housing recovery and foreclosure response.
