In a recent Chicago Tribune article about the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) 2011 budget, CTA President Richard Rodriguez was quoted as saying, "We've tried to focus on simple yet substantial goals against the backdrop of serious fiscal challenges.'' The budget avoids making service cuts and fee hikes, but also will not allow for major capital improvements.
A public hearing on the budget will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m., at CTA headquarters, 567 W. Lake St., Chicago. Mark your calendars!
