MPC knows that our supporters, readers, donors, and partners are all pretty smart. On February 6th at Haymarket Pub & Brewery, they had a chance to prove it.
MPC's first-ever Trivia Night featured beer, a buffet, a surprise appearance by WTTW's Geoffrey Baer, host of the "10 That Changed America" series, and, of course, hand-picked trivia questions from some creative minds at your favorite urban planning and policy organization.
Questions centered around Illinois politics, places and spaces, famous Chicago events, water, transportation systems, and pop culture. A crowd favorite? "Bear or Beer," a short list of names that each referred to either Chicago Bears... or beers. Think: Whiner, Sieben, and Galt. (If you want to take a stab at Bears or Beers for yourself, email me at egranger@metroplanning.org, and I'll share a blank quiz card with you!)
If you weren't able to join our first-ever Trivia Night, see the slideshow below for a curated selection of our favorite snapshots from the evening. Until next time, cheers!
