MPC's 2012 Annual Luncheon, The Cities That Work, featured a provocative dialogue about the opportunities and challenges facing the Chicago/Gary/Milwaukee mega-region with Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

MPC also awarded the 2012 Burnham Award for Excellence in Planning to the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning for its GO TO 2040 regional plan, and the Jean Allard Regional Trailblazer award to Frank Clark.

For more insights from around the region on the potential for Milwaukee, Chicago and Gary to work together on priorities, read MPC's The Cities That Work blog series, which featured posts from guest authors and members of our staff on issues that unite the tri-state region.
