Please join Metropolitan Planning Council for an inspiring keynote address by Tom Ricketts, Executive Chairman of the Chicago Cubs, on the team’s extraordinary journey and the turnaround lessons that we can apply to Chicago’s pressing problems. The Cubs’ comeback balanced risks with short-term needs and long-term goals. This is a baseball storyone that offers ideas and inspiration for civic leaders and residents to unite and drive economic growth. In Chicago, we are, after all, one team, better together.

Tom will be joined in conversation with Natalie Moore, WBEZ’s South Side Reporter.

During the Luncheon, MPC will recognize one of Chicago’s leading corporate citizens John A. Canning, Jr., Chairman of Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, with the 2017 Champion Fighter Award. We honor him for his extraordinary civic contributions to the Chicago region through his transformative leadership and philanthropy.

Sponsorships are available! To reserve a sponsorship or for more information, please contact Janet Myers, Vice President of Philanthropy, at jmyers@metroplanning.org or 312-863-6010.
