CMAP is supporting and strengthening local and regional planning by offering workshops for local officials across the region.  Each program will consist of two sessions held on Saturday mornings. 

Maximum capacity is 30 participants.

Below are a few sample topics that will be featured.

  • Roles and Responsibilities of Planning Commission members
  • Constitutional basis for planning
  • Basics of Zoning Ordinances
  • Checklist for reviewing subdivision plans
  • How planning and zoning are related
  • Ties between regional and municipal planning
  • What GO TO 2040 means for your community

REGISTRATION:

$25 (covers both sessions)

Fee includes copies of the Handbook of Planning Law Principles and Practices for Northeastern Illinois, and Planning, 1-2-3 Revised, and Now that You're on Board: How to Survive and Thrive as a Planning Commissioner.
