2011 American Planning Association Illinois Chapter Conference

MPC Vice President Peter Skosey is moderating a conference session on Oct. 5 entitled "How Communities in Illinois are Advancing Local Planning," and MPC Project Manager Josh Ellis is moderating a conference session on Oct. 7 entitled, "Managing Water Resources: Can Integration and Fragmentation Coexist?"

The APA-IL Chapter Conference is an annual three-day event for planning practitioners, policy makers, planning commissioners and municipal officials. This year’s conference will feature sessions,mobile workshops, and social events, as well as:

a one-day track for planning officials;
a two-tiered system of sessions to offer topics at both an introductory and advanced level;
four not-to-be-missed social events including a guided bike ride and a pub crawl; and
perennial favorites, such as the awards luncheon, opening reception, 5K run and speed planning.
