This four-part workshop series will give conservation coordinators the tools to educate and encourage customers to conserve water by emphasizing the importance of conservation and the role it plays in utility management, regulations and ordinances, water use by end users, and revenues.
Workshop 2: Regulations and Ordinances
June 26th, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to noon
Many communities have important questions about how to adapt to changing Lake Michigan water permit conditions and other new regulations. Presenters will compare the Ill. Dept. of Natural Resources’ existing LMO-2 water loss reporting form with the proposed American Water Works Association’s M-36 tool. The workshop also will examine new Illinois Plumbing Code updates and the role of water reuse in conservation; and explore how communities can integrate model ordinances with existing ordinances.

Workshops are free and open to all public works employees, with a preference for DuPage Water Commission customers.
Please bring a valid ID to enter the DuPage Water Commission Headquarters building.
