Workshop 4: Water Rates and Revenue

August 28th, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to noon

Water utilities must regularly reinvest in their systems to maintain efficient operations – but finding the resources to do so can be a challenge. This workshop will highlight traditional and innovative financing options for water infrastructure investments, featuring a discussion about the connection between water rates, revenues and reinvestment. Topics will include the role of full-cost pricing in water supply management, effects of conservation on revenue, savings from avoided costs and how to communicate and implement new rates.

For more information or to RSVP* contact Jenessa Rodriguez at Rodriguez@dpwc.org or by phone at 630-834-0100.

Workshops are free and open to all public works employees, with a preference for DuPage Water Commission customers.

Please bring a valid ID to enter the DuPage Water Commission Headquarters building.

Light refreshments will be provided.

3.25 Renewal Training Credits (RTC) through IEPA will be available for each workshop.

This workshop series is hosted by a collaboration of the DuPage Water Commission, Metropolitan Planning Council, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and MWH Global.
