MPC's Abby Crisostomo will speak at this event on MPC’s water supply management initiatives.

Flooding, combined sewers, full cost pricing, allocation rule revisions, leakage, conservation –how do you and your neighboring communities make sense of all the water issues coming down the pipe? Well, like any other issue, information gathering, talking with experts and peers, plus finding appropriate decision making tools is a good place to start.

The Alliance for the Great Lakes and our partners would like to help by inviting you to a workshop on August 13th from 9:00 am to noon at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe. At the workshop we will present information on water conservation and efficiency standards, many of which are outlined in the Great Lakes Compact, and give real examples of how they are being put into practice within Illinois. The goal of the workshop is not only to provide information but also to facilitate a dialogue with and amongst municipalities on the best ways to meet standards in a way that is good for the Great Lakes and good for your community.

If interested, please contact Jared Teutsch at the Alliance for more details.
