MPC's Abby Crisostomo will be speaking at the event.
Join the John Marshall Law School Environmental Law Society on Thursday, October 10th as it hosts an interdisciplinary panel on current local stormwater management issues and initiatives.
In a time of climate uncertainty and frequent, significant rain events in the region, local stormwater management practices are at the forefront of helping to protect water resources, as well as to prevent public and private property damage. To better understand what drives effective stormwater management, panelists will discuss how climate change, current regulation, and municipal and private homeowner responsibilities can impact the efficacy of stormwater management. MPCs Abby Crisostomo will be speaking as one of these.
Panelists include:
Anthony Charlton, Stormwater Management Director, DuPage County, Illinois
Abby Crisostomo, Water Resource Program Associate, The Metropolitan Planning Council
Aaron Koch, Deputy Commissioner for Sustainability, City of Chicago Department of Water Management
Nan Newlon, Director of Public Works, Village of Downers Grove
