MPC's Josh Ellis and Abby Crisostomo will present

This seminar showcases the local talent in the region and shows that we have the expertise to make clean water happen in northeast Illinois; integrate stormwater management discussions outside stormwater departments, addressing complex problems that need a multi-disciplinary approach; and emphasizes funded, long-term management for all best management practices for true success to be achieved.

Put together by the Conservation Foundation and Ill. Environmental Protection Agency, Beyond the Basics is designed for professionals in engineering, public works, planning and development, plus elected officials and plan commissioners who want to learn more than just the basics of stormwater management and green infrastructure.

MPC Program Director Josh Ellis will present Systemic Change to Address Flooding and Water Quality Issues: The Calumet Stormwater Collaborative, describing the efforts of the MPC-facilitated Calumet Stormwater Collaborative.

MPC Project Manager Abby Crisostomo will present Will This Rain Barrel Fix My Flooding? Designing Effective Programs to Incentivize Private Property Stormwater Interventions, sharing research MPC has been conducing on stormwater incentive programs.
