Better transportation options are coming for the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum on Chicago's Museum Campus.
The mayor's task force to propose enhancements to the Museum Campus transportation network will evaluate how people move to and around the Museum Campus and areas along the city's central lakefront. The task force's recommendations will be a piece of the Museum Campus Framework Plan, a long-range plan that will establish a vision for the future of the Museum Campus, with a focus on recreation, education, access and sustainability.

On behalf of the task force, the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) is hosting this open house to encourage community input. The public is invited to review materials, give feedback and discuss the Museum Campus and transportation options with project staff. In addition, MPC is hosting an interactive public engagement website designed to solicit ideas and comments on transportation to and around the Museum Campus.
Please join us to contribute your voice to Chicago's vision for Museum Campus—and share this opportunity with friends, colleagues and neighbors to encourage them to participate.
MPC President MarySue Barrett and Joe Deal, the City of Chicago's chief operating officer, are co-chairs of the task force, which is staffed by the Chicago Dept. of Transportation and Sam Schwartz Engineering.
