On May 28, 2014, the Illinois General Assembly passed the Urban Flooding Awareness Act.  Several state agencies, local municipalities and stormwater experts are in the process of studying urban flooding across Illinois to provide a report to the Governor and General Assembly in 2015.

IAEP and the Environmental & Water Resources Institute have teamed up to create a joint seminar to look at the problems associated with urban flooding and how to mitigate these issues. Please join IAEP as they examine potential stormwater mitigation options, the use of green infrastructure and traditional basins and wetlands to alleviate urban flooding.

Register here.

MPC Program Director Josh Ellis will speak at this event.
