Chicago Anchors for A Strong Economy
The Chicago Anchors for a Strong Economy (CASE) initiative of World Business Chicago is hosting its inaugural conference: Driving Collective Impact through Anchor Collaboratives.
Metropolitan Planning Council President MarySue Barrett is speaking at the 3:15 p.m. panel on The Role of Anchor Institutions as Agents of Policy Change.
Conference background:
CASE is a network of prominent Chicagoland anchor institutions committed to collectively impacting neighborhood economic development through local purchasing, hiring, and investment. On October 14, 2016, CASE will bring together nationally leading practitioners and advisors to discuss, debate and deliberate on topics that are focused around the central theme of collective impact as it relates to anchor institutions and anchor collectives.
The agenda is designed to provide anchor collaborations including institutions from higher education, healthcare, government and philanthropy, an opportunity to discuss their unique and innovative approaches to delivering impact in the communities served by them. The conference will provide the opportunity to address mutual challenges, share information and identify innovative solutions to anchor-led economic development.
