Using the recent "Our Great Rivers" report as a framework, we’ll take an intriguing look at the future of the Chicago River, focusing on both recent construction and the near- and long-term plans for the river’s use and look.

Great Rivers Chicago Director Josh Ellis, lead Riverwalk designer Carol Ross Barney, Friends of the Chicago River Executive Director Margaret Frisbie and landscape architect Kelly Murphy from Hoerr Schaudt will talk through the challenges and opportunities of Chicago River development. 

This event is hosted by the Chicago Architecture Foundationthe leading organization devoted to celebrating and promoting Chicago as a center of architectural innovation. As Chicago’s forum for the exchange of ideas on urban design, the foundation inspires people to participate in the building of vibrant communities and to demand the highest standard in urban design. Chicago Architecture Foundation awakens young people to achieve their potential through the discovery of architecture, engineering and design.

Tickets cost $15 (or $7 for CAF members).
