Did you apply for or receive a Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant? Are you trying to start or advance a regional plan? Register for this Smart Growth America webinar, featuring Mariia Zimmerman, Deputy Director U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities, and several HUD grant recipients from diverse parts of the country in various stages of regional plan development. The speakers will highlight the importance of regional planning, and discuss coalition building, challenges they have faced during planning and implementation, and keys to success. MPC and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) will describe CMAP's planning grant and discuss the role of the private sector in supporting planning and implementation efforts.
