REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS CLOSED

Join us on Wednesday, May 22, for an evening with inspiring Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates. A sculptor and urban planner by training, Gates is nationally known for his arts-based community development. From assembling gospel choirs to converting an abandoned home into a community library, his work pushes the conventional boundaries of community revitalization.

The reception will begin at 5 p.m., with Gates' presentation at 5:30 p.m. and time afterward for discussion.

MPC's Urban Think & Drink series features prominent thought and action leaders in an informal setting, sparking conversations on creating livable urban environments. Come and enjoy a drink, a talk, and good company. Space is limited, so RSVP today!

Registration is $10. MPC thanks Goose Island Beer Co. for providing libations. Wine and snacks will also be served.
