1871
MPC welcomes Howard Tullman, CEO of 1871, for an exclusive event with the city’s best and brightest business leaders and innovators on how entrepreneurialism can catapult Chicago to the top of the new data economy. With a reputation for playing by his own rules and breaking existing ones, Tullman is widely regarded as the key leader in a field that has grown exponentially in Chicago over the past few years. Under Tullman’s leadership, 1871 has expanded its impact beyond Chicago’s Loop, most recently through a partnership with a tech incubator in Mexico City, heralding a pivotal moment in shaping Chicago’s reputation as an international tech capital. Closer to home, Tullman is working to foster relationships between 1871 and Chicago neighborhoods.
Recent trends in business and the tech sector mean new ground rules when developing a competitive economy. Tullman will share examples of game-changing “disruptive innovation:” inexpensive, easily accessible tech solutions to long-standing challenges. He’ll also highlight why local government should continue to nurture Chicago’s burgeoning tech sector. Join us for what promises to be an engaging discussion with the city’s leading innovators.
This event will be moderated by Michael Krauss, president of Market Strategy Group.
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Pastoral along with wine and beer. (Beer graciously provided by Goose Island Beer Company!)
