Nashville grows by 80 people per day, while Chicago lost 6,263 residents last year. Nashville is clearly a place where people want to be.
Former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean
What is Nashville doing right? What can Chicago learn? On Wednesday, Sept. 21, join former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean as he shares his city’s recipe for success and the challenges that growth brings.
During Karl Dean’s two terms in office as Mayor (2007 to 2015), Nashville received national recognition as a “Boomtown,” one of “The Best Cities for Jobs” and as the “It” City. He invested in public education, public safety, new parks and greenways and many other initiatives that make Nashville a great place to live, work and play.
Doors open at 5 p.m. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m., with time to mingle before and after. The cost of the event is $15 and includes light refreshments. Seating is limited, so please register in advance.
