Chicago’s next mayor will lead a city deeply divided by race and income. But it doesn't have to be like this. The upcoming 2019 municipal elections is an opportunity to bring racial equity front and center. And it’s a chance for all of us to reimagine a new Chicago way and work with our elected officials to move our city in a more equitable direction.
The Vote Equity Project allows Chicagoans to offer ideas on how to transform government to build a city that works for all of us. Vote with us on which ideas should guide the next mayor. Then stick with us as we report back on where each candidate stands on your priorities.
This Vote Equity party is one of hundreds that will take place across the city. Join us to vote on your preferred platform, learn more about organizations that have been working on the ground to raise awareness and address issues of inequity in our city, and use your voice to highlight issues and hold candidates accountable during the 2019 election.
