The past four years have a whirlwind of activity regarding urban planning policies — from budgets that favor the automobile over public transit to proposals to cut public housing programs to major projects being stalled — that will have profound ramifications for cities across the United States. It's clear that a Biden Administration will approach urban policy and planning with a different lens.

What does a shift in our country's leadership mean for the future of three of its most influential metropolitan regions? Join the leaders of SPUR, the Metropolitan Planning Council of Chicago, and Regional Plan Association of the New York City-New Jersey-Connecticut region as they delve into what the next federal administration may mean for regional planning, research, and policy change.

Speakers:

  • Alicia John-Baptiste, President & CEO, SPUR
  • MarySue Barrett, President, Metropolitan Planning Council
  • Tom Wright, President, Regional Plan Association

Moderator:

  • Calvin Gladney, President & CEO, Smart Growth America

Co-presented by the Metropolitan Planning Council, Regional Plan Association, and SPUR.
