Boston's Charles River once faced water quality challenges like our rivers, but is now clean enough to swim in.
The Chicago Community Trust has opened its fourth Our Great Rivers RFP to support community-led riverfront improvement projects along Chicago's rivers!
This request for proposals builds upon the Our Great Rivers vision and the first three Our Great Rivers grant cycles, awarded in 2017, 2019, and 2020, which have supported a total of 19 riverfront projects.
This year, the Trust is looking for projects that align more strongly with the theme "Living and Healthy," and use the rivers as a way to promote environmental and human health. Projects aligned with the Inviting and Productive themes from Our Great Rivers will still be considered.
Letter of Interest submissions for the Our Great Rivers RFP is due on August 20, 2021. Visit the Chicago Community Trust's page to learn more and to apply.
Leading up to the submission date, there will be two information sessions about the grant. Please RSVP to receive the registration information.
