As part of the Metropolitan Planning Council's three-part workshop process in Uptown, community members developed proposals for the former Stewart School and adjacent parking lot, as well as two strips of land parallelling the Wilson CTA Station.
MPC staff, working with Gensler Architects, U.S. Equities and students from the Illinois Institute of Technology, further developed these proposals both in terms of design and their financing.
