How to celebrate #GivingTuesday with MPC

Planning to ride the CTA Holiday Train this year? Send us a picture with #MPCgiving!

Planning is a necessary part of everyone’s life, from planning your recent Thanksgiving dinner to planning what to give everyone on your holiday list this year. Just like city and regional planning, it takes time, energy and effort, but the results are worth it.

This season, we want to know what you’ve planned for the holidays!

Send your photos of Thansgiving dinner or other holiday plans in action to Communications Assistant Ariel Ranieri, aranieri@metroplanning.org, or tweet them to us at @Metroplanners with #MPCgiving.

We’ll enter you into a drawing for two Urban Think & Drink tickets to use anytime during 2015! And we’ll share all the photos we receive by Tuesday, Dec. 9 with our friends through MPC’s newsletter and social media channels.

Support MPC this #GivingTuesday

Want to encourage smart planning in Chicagoland? Support MPC by making a donation to our #MPCgiving campaign. For any new donor who gives $50 or more online, we’ll send you a Metropolitan Planning Council notebook—perfect for all those holiday lists! All new online donations made through Wednesday, Dec. 31 will be eligible.

Planning makes our lives better. Whether it’s through easing congestion or reducing flooding, smart regional planning is what MPC is all about. But none of that matters without the people who make their communities vibrant. So as you zip along through this busy season, take a moment to pause and marvel at how everyone’s efforts—yours and ours—have shaped the places we care about most.

On this #GivingTuesday, give to the organization that gives back to the region. And give thanks for planning.

A little housekeeping note: By sending us your photo, you authorize us to use it on our website, Flickr, social media channels and in our e-newsletter, “Re-Connection.” No purchase necessary to enter the photo drawing for two Urban Think & Drink tickets.

We believe that every neighborhood has promise, every community should be heard, and every person can thrive.
