(Chicago) … The Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC)—a nonprofit that helps governments, businesses and communities develop solutions to meet metropolitan Chicago's pressing needs, so that everyone who lives and works here can thrive—is thrilled to announce Danielle Gallet as our newest addition to the team.
Gallet is a water resource strategist and urban planner with more than 13 years of project and business management experience. As a manager, she will help build MPC’s sustainability initiatives, most notably in the fields of Stormwater Mitigation and Water Supply Management. Her work involves co-facilitating the Water 2050 Regional Forum for northeastern Illinois; providing leadership and technical assistance to various regional initiatives that MPC supports, including the Northwest Water Planning Alliance and the Calumet Stormwater Collaborative; and leading research to identify effective solutions to water service use, management, financing and infrastructure challenges.
Prior to MPC, Gallet worked for the Center for Neighborhood Technology and Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, where she helped develop the Water 2050 plan. She is a member of the American Water Works Association and American Planning Association. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in urban planning and policy.
