MPC released its groundbreaking Cost of Segregation study one year ago, calculating the costs of racial and economic segregation to the Chicago region and all of its residents. Together with the Urban Institute, we documented the costs in lost lives, lost income, and lost potential.

On the morning of Tuesday, May 15th, we'll release a roadmap—developed with more than 100 advisers—of actions we can take today to create a more equitable Chicago region.

We want as many of you to be able to take part in this moment as possible, which is why we've set up a live stream of the entire program. At 9:30 a.m. CT on May 15th, we encourage you to tune in and join the conversation on social media, using the hashtag #OurEquitableFuture.
